Apple Pie Bread

Apple Pie Bread

What you will need:

  • 1 loaf Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed
  • 1 cup apple pie filling
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped nuts and 2 Tbsp. raisins (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar mixed with ½ tsp. cinnamon

How to make it:

Lightly grease an 8½ x 4½” loaf pan; set aside. In a small bowl, mix together apple pie filling and ½ teaspoon cinnamon. As you mix, cut up the apples into pieces to make them smaller; add nuts and raisins (if desired); set aside. Place thawed loaf of dough on a lightly floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll dough out into a 12” x 14” rectangle. With a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the rectangle into 16 equal rectangles. Take one rectangle of dough and flatten with the palm of your hand. Place 1 tablespoon of apple pie mixture on the center of the rectangle. Repeat with remaining rectangles of dough. Stack rectangles with filling into 4 stacks of 4. Place stacks sideways in loaf pan. Brush with melted butter. Top with cinnamon/sugar mixture. Let rise until double in size. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 25-30 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle with icing if desired.

Icing – 1 cup powdered sugar mixed with 1-2 tablespoons milk or water.

Tip: Follow the microwave thawing instructions on the back of the Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough® package to begin working with the dough in minutes!

Raspberry Almond Rolls

Raspberry Almond Rolls

What you will need:

  • 1 loaf Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed
  • 4 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine, divided use
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup raspberry preserves
  • ½ cup chopped almonds (optional)

How to make it:

Lightly grease two 8” round cake pans (metal or disposable foil pans). On a lightly floured board, roll dough out to an 8” x 12” rectangle. Spread raspberry preserves evenly over dough. Sprinkle evenly with granulated sugar. Top with almonds, if desired. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Beginning with 12-inch side, roll tightly in a jelly-roll fashion. Cut rolled dough into 12 equal slices. Place 6 slices in each prepared pan, evenly spaced. Brush tops with melted butter. Let rise until double in size. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until light brown. Brush tops with any remaining melted butter. Drizzle with icing while warm.

Icing – Mix 2 cups powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons milk and ½ teaspoon almond extract. Spoon on rolls.

Chocolate Cinnamon RollsTip: When using disposable foil pans, these rolls can easily be given away as a gift! This idea can be done in many variations, like our Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls. Yum!

Orange Bubble Mini Loaves

Orange Bubble Mini Loaves

What you will need:

  • 1 loaf Bridgford Frozen Ready-Dough®, thawed and divided into 16 equal pieces

Or

  • 16 Bridgford Frozen Parkerhouse Style Rolls, thawed

Or

  • 8 Bridgford Frozen White Rolls, thawed and each roll divided in half
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh orange zest (zest is the fresh gratings of the outermost layer of the orange peel)

How to make it:

Lightly grease 4 mini loaf pans*. On a lightly floured surface, using lightly floured hands, shape each piece of dough into a ball. Set aside. In a medium size bowl, mix together sugar and orange zest. Dip each dough ball into melted butter and roll in the sugar/orange mixture. Place 4 coated dough balls in each loaf pan. Let rise until double in size. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and loaf sounds hollow when tapped gently on top. Remove from oven and invert pan upside down on cooling rack (place a sheet of foil under the cooling rack to catch all of the drips of syrup). Remove pan (loaf should be upside down). Let cool. If desired, drizzle with orange glaze (2 cups powdered sugar mixed with 2 tablespoons orange juice).

*Dimensions of mini loaf pan 5¾ x 3”

Tip: If want to prep your ingredients in advance, Bridgford White Roll Dough and Parkerhouse Style Roll Dough can be easily thawed in the refrigerator overnight (panned and covered). See the reverse side of our packages for full instructions.
