Our Cool Food Panelists are more than prepared for you and your kiddos to head back to school.
Silvia from Mama Latina Tips – Savory Sweet Potato Waffles
“These Savory Sweet Potato Waffles prove waffles don’t have to be pure sweetness to be delicious. If the idea strikes you as strange, I don’t blame you. It did me, too, at least at first. But I would ask that you consider the sweet and savory magic that exists in some of your other favorite foods. The BLT, chocolate chip cookies, chiles en Nogada, Jamaican jerk, mango salsa, honey-glazed bacon, and turkey stuffed chile ancho! Need I go on? Now that the kids are back to school, we’re all moving a thousand miles per hour. So I created this recipe with all of us in mind. I love the convenience of using ingredients straight from my refrigerator or freezer, like these wonderful Alexia Sweet Potato Fries and the Land O Lakes Unsalted Butter.”
Natalie from At Home with Natalie – Dino Themed Lunchbox
“It’s that time of the year! Lunchbox time! Today I’m sharing a fun Dino Themed Lunchbox inspired by our favorite Tyson Fun Nuggets! Micah was so excited about this lunch box. The best part is it doesn’t take much to make the Dino theme come to life when you use the Dino Nuggets. I just mixed some easy green-colored recipes and snacks together and more Dino touches and Micah was flipping over it!”
Bobbi from Bobbi’s Kozy Kitchen – Mile High Denver Omelet Biscuits
“Not only do these breakfast sammies taste as good as they look, they are a great make ahead breakfast for those peeps that don’t have the time to eat right at the moment, or for days when you don’t have the time to cook. I am an omelet junkie. I can seriously throw just about anything into some eggs, add a bit of cheese, and I am a happy camper. Kevin just wants a breakfast that is a stick to your ribs kinda meal. In his mind, it must have eggs, meat, and bread. The G-baby? Well, she loves eggs, cheese, and loves to feed herself now. The result when I tossed all of these wants and needs together? These deeeelish Mile High Denver Omelet Biscuits!”
